Who we are

Our team has extensive expertise in the design, development, testing, demonstration, and validation of subsurface remote sensing technologies for real-world field applications. We combine a deep understanding of the underlying physics with advanced analytical and numerical modeling to deliver complete hardware and software solutions for detecting, locating, characterizing, and identifying subsurface targets and infrastructure.

We develop advanced lightweight electromagnetic induction (EMI) sensing technologies for operation in complex environments. Our systems support applications involving unexploded ordnance (UXO), landmines, IED-related metallic targets, buried wires, pipes, and other subsurface infrastructure.

Our state-of-the-art, deployment-agnostic Ultra-Light EM Array (ULEMA) sensing technologies, together with their associated software package, are designed for the detection, localization, and classification of explosive hazards and buried infrastructure across a wide range of environments and operating conditions. These systems can be deployed underwater, on land, and from airborne platforms.

Our ULEMA system is the only advanced EMI technology of its kind that has been deployed on small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) for subsurface target detection, localization, and identification.

Beyond detection, our technology provides advanced target characterization capabilities, enabling users to distinguish hazardous unexploded items from clutter, fragments, or exploded munitions. For buried infrastructure applications, our systems can also identify pipes by material type, including lead, copper, and steel, while supporting assessment of target size, geometry, and condition.
